Leading through Uncertainty and Change

Thursday, 16 September 2021

We are leading (and living) in uncertain times. This event will kick off the Learning from Bold Minds in Leadership series by exploring what it means to lead in the challenging context we find ourselves in right now. How do you develop and maintain resilience and engagement, both personally and professionally? How do we best support ourselves and our colleagues, and what are some strategies to maintain momentum, energy and focus in a complex landscape?

Leading through Uncertainty and Change

The past eighteen months has delivered us an unprecedented and unique shared human experience in our lifetimes. Putting aside the physiological challenge of dealing with a once in a century pandemic, it has had a mental impact, affecting each of us and our teams in many ways.

Anxiety results from living in a world where the outcomes are uncertain. Given this known certainty, there are simple yet proven ways to reduce stress and anxiety in ourselves and others and start focusing on what we can control.

This event will be led by Constantine Pappas, an expert in leadership and organisational development, who has worked across industries in regions and seeks to bring out the best of his clients and unleash their unique individual selves to achieve common goals.

During this event, he will outline researched and proven techniques that will help you in keeping your anxiety and stress in check, while taking action on what you can influence.

Join us to explore:

  • The criticality of mindset: you'll be introduced mindfulness tools and start practicing mindfulnessduring the session, including reflecting on anxiety and its purpose
  • Breaking down the often-blurred nature of our anxieties into a more tangible method to work with them
  • Building an awareness of how our mind works and the impact of mental interference
  • Become familiar with and practice a coaching methodology that will support you, your teammates, and others in improving resilience.
