You will provide high level policy and issues analysis, strategic advice and secretariat services to the Board, its subcommittees and relevant working groups.

Position overview

CAUL is the peak leadership organisation for university libraries in Australia.  Members are the lead library executive of the institutions that have representation on Universities Australia (and the 8 members of the Council of New Zealand University Librarians).

The position, working closely with the Board, will lead strategic activities that advocate and advance the role and purpose of University libraries as essential knowledge and information infrastructures to enable student achievement and research excellence.

You will lead a small, dynamic team who provide administrative, fiduciary and operational support for the development and coordination of CAUL’s strategic agenda and programs. The significance and scale of required leadership is reflected in the transition to a registered incorporated association and through content procurement initiatives valued in excess of $200M. National and global advocacy and strategic collaboration with leading university and research bodies is a priority for shaping the information, research and higher education agenda.
