Australasian Digital Theses
The Australasian Digital Theses (ADT) database which was hosted by University of New South Wales, ceased operation on 28 March 2011. Australian theses are now searchable via the National Library of Australia’s Trove service.
Trove
Trove is a free repository of Australian material, including almost a million Australian theses. If you’re having trouble finding theses, the 'Help on finding Australian theses' section of the Trove website. You can Search all Australian theses or Search all digital Australian theses via Trove. You may also subscribe to the Trove feed for recently added Australian digital theses.
Searching for theses from individual universities, including New Zealand universities
When linking directly to the university, the following links take you either to a theses-specific search page, or to a research content page which allows you to search all the university's research output, including higher degree theses. In some cases, the links are only to digital theses, not the many theses which are still only in print form. You may need to search Trove or the library's catalogue to locate the print versions.
When following the Trove link below, the Trove search box is populated with the code for the university concerned (e.g. nuc: NUN for UNSW). You should type your search string after this code, rather than overwriting it, to limit your search to the university concerned. If you do not find the thesis you are looking for, try unticking 'Available online' – it might not have been digitised yet.
