OER Collective Training: From prompt to page: Exploring AI in OER creation

Wednesday, 15 October 2025 - 12:00pm (AEDT)

This session explores the practical use of artificial intelligence in the creation of the OER through two case study presentations:

  • Dr Mitchell Adams discusses the use of AI in the creation of GenAI for Legal Practice, a new OER Collective text published by Swinburne University of Technology.
  • Cameron Rutter discusses navigating library and copyright support for the creation of an OER with unexpected AI use at the Queensland University of Technology.

Participants will gain insights into how AI tools can support content generation, while also critically examining the implications for authorship and copyright. Through discussion and demonstration, the session will highlight some of the key considerations for integrating AI into their own OER projects.
