This two day conference will highlight the major issues influencing the shape of the Australian higher education sector and their implications for university libraries, now and into the future. The speakers have been chosen to inform, challenge and provoke thinking about change. Delegates will leave the institute with a range of actions to inform, influence and drive change at a senior level of leadership. The Institute also provides an excellent opportunity for delegates to exchange experiences and develop a national network of colleagues.
To underscore CAUL’s commitment to invest in developing the profession and its leadership CAUL piloted this initiative in 2014. Two scholarships will again be offered to cover the cost of registration. Each includes the institute registration fee, accommodation and meals.
Travel and other incidentals will be covered by your employer.
The applicant pool for a scholarship is extended to staff at middle management who show clear potential for advancement and will benefit significantly from exposure to the CLI faculty and delegates. Selection is competitive.
Scholarship applicants are required to address the following:
- Statement of Purpose (one page maximum): by the applicant to describe why you are interested in the Institute and how you anticipate this experience will influence your advancement in university libraries.
- Statement of Support (one page maximum): A Statement of Support from your University Librarian/Director that references your potential and/or readiness for senior/executive leadership; and their preparedness to cover costs that are not supported by the scholarship.
