The National Scholarly Communications Forum was formed in October 1993, following the very successful conference on Changes in Scholarly Communications Patterns held in Canberra in April 1993. Its member organisations are concerned to ensure that Australia obtains maximum benefits in the rapid transition to forms of electronic communication for publishers, libraries, education providers and the business of government. The Forum currently comprises:
