| September 6 | Melbourne | Deakin University Library/poss trip to Queenscliff | The Waterfront library is
in a wonderful refurbished woolstores building in the city of Geelong in
a very beautiful setting by the sea. It houses the technical services
operations and a small campus library ( architecture and some health programs).
The Waurn Ponds library is about 20 minutes outside Geelong city. It is a large more rural setting with the traditional full range of faculties and academic programs. The off-campus library service is managed from Waurn Ponds. 9.00am leave Melbourne,
by coach, pick-up from hotel

| Newcastle | The University of Newcastle | If SCONUL wanted to visit
Newcastle during the weekend we could offer a tour of our Information Common
and perhaps provide them with an overview of our new funding model for
Scholarly Information resources - should take about 2 hours at the most
- then I would suggest a trip to the vineyards. Could fit this in as a
day trip from Sydney but it would be a long day if the vineyards were included.
