CAUL established the Information
Literacy Working Group in April 2003 to provide advice to members.
In the education sector,
Information Literacy has been generally defined as an understanding and
set of abilities enabling individuals to recognise when information is
needed and have the capacity to locate, evaluate, and use effectively the
needed information.
(From the ANZ
Information Literacy Framework, p.3)
Using the options from the
side menu, you will find information on the working group itself, plus
some general information on information literacy in tertiary education,
especially in Australia. |
