NEWS: 3/8/09: New Journals to Remain Freely Available in 2010 for Libraries which Opt-in - We are pleased to announce that new journals which were launched by Wiley-Blackwell in 2008 will not be moving to paid subscriptions in 2010.  Pricing will now be postponed until 1st January 2011. Wiley 's  IP blocking policy is that IPs do not get blocked automatically .  However Wiley is monitoring excessive downloads and alerts the library administrator in cases of potential abuse.  We never turn any IP off without telling the customer first and we have not had the need in Australasia to cut off any customer. NEWS:  (21/12/04) Wiley Acquires Nature Publishing Group's Reference Portfolio. Chichester, England, December 21, 2004.  John Wiley & Sons Ltd., announced today that it had completed the acquisition of the reference portfolio of Nature Publishing Group (NPG), a division of Macmillan Publishers Ltd., on December 3. ....  The acquisition brings to Wiley a collection of three major reference works, including the flagship Encyclopedia of Life Sciences (ELS), (website launched 1/9/09) an online and 20 volume print resource for life scientists. .... In addition to ELS, Wiley also purchased from Nature Publishing Group the Encyclopedia of the Human Genome (EHG) and the Encyclopedia of Cognitive Science (ECS).

Invoice details for "new" titles 2001-2005  (8/4/08) Following consultation with members in May/June 2007, it was determined that the 2001-2005 new/transfer titles will continue to be included in the CAUL package, and members  will be invoiced annually for their share.  Any 2006+ new/transfer titles that did not have a previous subscription history within CEIRC will not be included in the package.  If you wish to subscribe, you should do this directly with Wiley.  Those titles that do have a subscription history will have been included automatically in the group's package. Please note:
Members who submitted renewals for  their existing MRWs or Current Protocols based on the discounted CAUL price will receive renewal invoices based on the current list prices or former CAUL discounted prices (e.g. USD900 for Kirk-Othmer);
Members who have signed for a significant amount of new  MRW, CPs or Online Books (>US$1,000 for new subscriptions) will be contacted by me to renegotiate a price;
Members  who are interested to purchase our non-journals product for list price please contact me for a revised quotation.
