Date: Tue, 8 Oct 1996 16:03:25 +1000
From: "News from RLG" <BL.KSS@rlg.org>
Subject: Inside Information *Plus* -- A New CitaDel File

The Research Libraries Group (RLG) is pleased to announce the restructuring of Inside Information (IIN), a major current awareness file for multiuser subscription access. Now called Inside Information *Plus*, the new file includes important changes based on responses to a survey of IIN users conducted last fall.

Highlights

* Title coverage has more than doubled -- from 10,000 to 21,000 titles -- and includes a large number of titles published in North America.

* The citation format has been enhanced with more information helpful to researchers.

IIN *Plus* is accessible through RLG's CitaDel citations and document delivery service. ALL the documents indexed in the file continue to be available through CitaDel, copyright cleared, from the British Library Document Supply Centre. Delivery is via RLG's Ariel document transmission system, airmail, or fax.

The file's name change reflects its greatly added value in both scope and detail. With this enhancement and weekly updates to the file, IIN *Plus* amply satisfies the needs of today's researchers for up-to-date information and rapid document delivery. Some additional facts are given below.

For those who are already familiar with IIN, we invite you to subscribe to the expanded and enhanced version for your users and receive 10 free IIN *Plus* documents. For librarians and information managers not yet acquainted with the file, we urge you to try out the new version through a 30-day free trial, available for IIN *Plus* and any of CitaDel's other two dozen databases.

Coverage begins with January 1996, and the file is updated weekly with approximately 30,000 new citations.

Record Enhancements
