Dear CAUL System Administrators

Thank you for your participation in the ABI/Inform Global with Full Text trial, sponsored by CAUL. Your assistance and support in getting this important business full text file to your user population is much appreciated!

Ovid Technologies has been collecting the usage statistics for the 4 month trial period. Three management reports have been developed to assist you in your usage analysis and database acquisition planning.

You will notice that the reports summarize usage for both the ABI/Inform database and Current Contents. Should you wish to continue to receive the Current Contents statistics simply drop a note to Diane Costello of CAUL.

Details of the reports follow. Please do not hesitate to contact our Ovid Sydney office if you have any questions or feedback.

************OVID CAUL STATISTICS************

Today CAUL System Administrators will receive Ovid Usage Reports for July, August, September and October (to date). At the conclusion of the ABI/Inform Global with Full Text trial on October 31 we will send complete October reports.

These reports show usage for both ABI/Inform and Current Contents and any other Ovid databases you access.

For each month you will receive three separate reports designed to give a complete picture of your University's Ovid usage.

SUMMARY REPORT

This report summarizes usage for all Universities. It shows how many Ovid sessions were logged for each University and gives total time for all sessions. The report also distinguishes between shared login sessions and individual login sessions.

REPORT NUMBER 1: Usage by Login

This report shows Ovid usage detail for each of your University's loginsthat signed on during the month. The report is alphabetical by login and shows for each login the databases accessed and the total time logged in for the month.

At the end of Report Number 1 there is a summary which allows you to see the distribution of usage between databases at your University.

REPORT NUMBER 2: Summary Usage by Login

This report is designed to give an overview of your University's Ovid usage for the month. For each login active during the month the report shows the number of sessions and the total time. The report allows you to see at a glance who your most active users are.
