Perpetual access:  Subscribers  will have perpetual access to all the titles within the collections for the period they subscribed.  So if they subscribed for 2008 and then cancelled they would always have access to that year, if they subscribed for 2008-2010 they would have perpetual access to those years. Maney Publishing, Multi-Science Publishing and Woodhead Publishing are working in partnership to collaborate on consortia offers - to offer a joint proposal to CAUL:

Electronic Journal Collection 2006/2007 (Received 1/9/06)
As Maney Publishing, Multi-Science Publishing and Woodhead Publishing are working in partnership to collaborate on consortia offers, we would all like to offer a joint proposal to the CAUL members.  This means that there would be a journal package of 74 titles on offer.
However, to make this work for all of us there will be 3 conditions:

1. Members have to maintain their existing journal holdings (in any format) and pay an additional 25% access fee to access the full electronic collection
2. A minimum spend must be achieved per institution of £4,000 (this is a huge saving - approx 80%- on the full price for the titles) to access the full electronic collection
3. A minimum of 15 institutions must join the agreement to make it viable.

The 2006 offer is based on maintaining existing holdings (with or without paper) and adding new journals to existing collections.  A minimum joining fee will apply (a 45% discount on the 2006 list prices for the individual journal collections and a 50% discount for the full journal collection of 56 titles), but where an institution already has subscriptions that exceed the minimum price, there would be an additional 10% charged on top of their existing holdings to pay in order to access the collection/s of choice.  The institutions can choose 1 or more of the individual subject specific journal collections on offer or the full collection.

The offer is based on the value of subscriptions currently paid.  .... if they choose e-only, they can either maintain their existing journals or just opt for the package and pay us or [CAUL] direct.  If an e-only option is taken, paper can be purchased if required at a 75% discount from the current list price.  The license that we negotiated previously including your requested
amendments will still stand.

We can alter our licence to conform to the 60 day payment term.

We can include a section on allowing course packs we suggest the following:

The Licensee may incorporate parts of the Licensed Materials in printed Course Packs and Electronic Reserve.  Any such item shall carry appropriate acknowledgement, listing title and author of the extract and the work, and the publisher. Copies of such items shall be deleted when no longer used for such purpose.

We will include ILL via Ariel, but it will be limited to other users within the same country and as long as the document is not retained after sending or used for any commercial purposes.
