Options for setting up your
FS accounts (via DA, 12/11/07)
Option 1: ONE FS account
You can request to have
only ONE FS account/login for multiple databases and this will allow cross-searching.
However, you can specify only one default database the user sees when they
enter FirstSearch. Your users will then have to change the default database,
in order to search in the other 2 databases.
Option 2: Existing FS set-up
If you wish to provide your
users with 3 separate entry points to access each of the 3 databases, then
you would retain 3 FS accounts.
We can advise OCLC to set-up
your FS accounts according to your preference; either Option 1 or Option
2 above.
