PsycARTICLES Standard Pricing - Discount for first year's subscription for PsycINFO subscribers still available @ 26/9/03 [CAUL Pricing]PsycBOOKS is a new full-text database of books and chapters in the American Psychological Association's array of quality electronic databases. The initial release in August 2004 features more than 500 APA books with copyright dates from 1950-2002, including 100 out-of-print books; 50 archival resources in psychology; and the exclusive electronic release of more than 1,500 entries from the APA/Oxford University Press Encyclopedia of Psychology. The APA says "we are still on schedule to for August 15 trials. Data should be out to vendors in early August. Ovid, CSA, Ebsco and OCLC have signed vendor agreements."
PsycBOOKS Pricing - We have extended a 15% PsycBOOKS discount to PsycINFO and/or PsycARTICLES subscribers. (19/9/04)PsycEXTRA, a companion to the scholarly PsycINFO database, supplies clinicians, information professionals, policy-makers, researchers, and consumers with a wide variety of credible information in psychology, behavioral science, and health. Most of the coverage is material written for professionals and disseminated outside of peer-reviewed journals. Documents include newsletters, magazines, newspapers, technical and annual reports, government reports, consumer brochures, and more. PsycEXTRA is different from PsycINFO in its coverage, and also in its format, because it includes abstracts and citations plus full text for a major portion of the records. There is no overlap with PsycINFO.

APA PsycARTICLES pricing, and Ovid interface pricing (updated 13/10/02)
Please find attached details for PsycINFO 2003 subscriptions on the Ovid or Silver Platter platforms. The attached Excel spreadsheet has three separate worksheets, PsycINFO pricing by CEIRC member institution, PsycARTICLES only pricing by member institution, and special discounted PsycARTICLES pricing for those member institutions who already have a subscription to PsycINFO.
Special offer - an extra 20% discount on PsycARTICLES for 2003
In summary, all institutions who subscribe to PsycINFO are entitled to a 20% discount off the base price of PsycARTICLES plus Ovid's loader fee, and then an extra discount (up to 20%) for the consortia offer. PsycARTICLES is the only electronic source for APA's journals, and Ovid is the only version supported by the exceptional searching features of the Journals@Ovid database. You'll have access to the premium psychology content you need through easy-to-use searching tools that help to answer your questions, and advance your research.CSA.
Provided CAUL members have at least one database subscription to CSA Internet Database Service: (Mark Hyer, 6/6/02)
- No access fee to PsycINFO on CSA Internet Database Service (Customer can pay APA fee directly through CAUL)
- No access fee for linking to PsycARTICLES (Customer can pay APA fee directly through CAUL and use APA interface)
The simple goal is to provide the most cost effective solution for CAUL members who are not tied into one of the interfaces.

Level 4 $5,000 $6,500
Level 5 $9,000 $13,000

Level 7 $17,000 $22,750
Level 8 $19,000 $26,000
From Sheila Brooks to Aine Rice (15 October 2001):
In the new pricing, level 5 is broken into two groups: Level 4 which is 10,000 to 14,999 FTEs (student loads) will be $11,000 and the new level 5 is 15,000 to 19,999 will be $14,500. Level 6 will then be 20,000 FTEs and above at $19,000 (this will be the highest number). What I am saying to you is this:
1) If a customer moves from level 5 to level 6 we will take that into consideration when pricing them and would not jump them from $13K to $19K, we would allow for some intermittent pricing.
2) If you have a particular group in mind, such as the CAUL group then we would work with that group to make sure that their pricing as a whole did not increase above a certain percentage and
3) Sites always have the option of renewing early to maintain their same pricing.
