Symyx Technologies, Inc.

NEWS: SANTA CLARA, Calif. & NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 10, 2007--Symyx Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:SMMX) today announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire certain content and software products of MDL Information Systems for $123 million in cash (subject to a working capital adjustment) from Elsevier Inc. .... MDL's integrated informatics and content solutions for discovery chemistry and biology include its ISIS and Isentris platforms, and such industry standards as MDL Draw, MDL Direct, Available Chemicals Directory (ACD) and DiscoveryGate.

Elsevier has announced the addition of 56 prestigious titles

NEWS: Amsterdam, May 16, 2007 – Elsevier has announced the addition of 56 prestigious titles from The Clinics to its premier electronic platform, ScienceDirect (www.sciencedirect.com). The Clinics span a variety of subjects within the health sciences, ranging from pediatrics to surgery. Among the 56 titles to be launched are: Medical Clinics of North America; Pediatric Clinics of North America; Surgical Clinics of North America; Radiologic Clinics of North America.

The Lancet Neurology

The Neurology Collection provides an entry point to research and review articles from The Lancet, The Lancet Infectious Diseases, The Lancet Neurology, and The Lancet Oncology.
